Favorite Foods

In my plan to shape up, I have discovered some fabulous new foods. (I apologize that most are ready-made.)  These are great new ways to have interesting things to eat that are healthy and quick.  Check these out and please give some feedback if you want, or offer any alternatives you have found.

1. Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamers (particularly any one including potatoes) - I LOVE POTATOES!

2. Brown Rice - Just heat up the little cups and add veggies and chicken. Great for a meal at work.

3. Tangerines mixed into green tea. - The Dr. Oz show told me it was good for me.

4.  Almonds - unsalted and dry roasted (mixed with raisins because my trainer told me to. can't remember     why that's important...)
5.  String cheese - Sargento or Weight watchers (50 cal each)

Next on the list to try: pine nuts, oatmeal, and greek yogurt.  Stay tuned! One pound down, 14 more to go!

Planning Progress

The Knot.com is so mad at me right now! We officially have a chapel, reception site, dress, suit, photographer, florist... the list goes on, but the pre-nuptial checklist seems never to end. According to the wedding site's checklist, I have over 20 items that should have been competed by now.  I am pretty sure that I am the worst bride-to-be ever.  I never thought it would take this much effort to plan a wedding.  I can only imagine what it would be like if I was super picky.

Chris has been a great help though.  On Sunday we found a suit for him at Nordstroms.  A very chic Hugo Boss charcoal grey one.  My eyes teared up as he turned to me from the dressing mirror and said, "What do you think?"  Of course it was the one.  Check that off the list!  We also stopped by two jewelery stores to try on wedding bands for the first time.  I think we found the one for Chris.  Lucky for us it was only $99!  I am still searching.  That is the latest surge in planning.  Over the last few weeks Chris has used his graphic design eye to create save the dates and invitations.  Someday we will actually mail them... come to think of it, the Knot says we already should have.  Don't check your mailboxes anytime soon!

Shape Up or Ship Out!

So, ok.  This in more self imposed than anything.  But it is time.  Actually it is far far far overdue.  Yes, that's right.  Am going to get into shape if it kills me, and it just might.  I have been way too afraid of starting, but that fear has just been outdone by the fear of what happens if I don't.  Career, Love, Health.  They all matter tremeandously and it is time I take them all seriously.  Fitness is a great first step to exercising self control and responsibility.  Two attributes I belive will make me "wifey material".  Here starts the first day of Becoming Mrs. Muller.  Wish me luck.... better yet, wish me a calorie free cheeseburger...
